The ENZED Australian Top Fuel Championships will see 56,000 horsepower on-show as seven 8000hp flame-throwing Top Fuel dragsters take to the Willowbank Raceway quarter-mile over April 17 and 18.

However, the former multiple Australian Top Fuel drag race champion, Steve Read, will have a rather unusual lead-up to the Enzed Top Fuel Championship at Willowbank Raceway. Read, will marry long-time partner Heather at Willowbank on the Saturday morning, then after the wedding breakfast, they will take part in qualifying for the Australian Top Fuel championship race meeting. Therefore, Procomp Electronics | Motorsport would like to congratulate the couple, and hope to see them perform well, in their first official race meeting as one.

ANDRA - 'Summernationals' Race Meeting

On Friday the 12th of February, Steve 'the pom' Read and the Procomp  Electronics | Motorsport Team will come together to take on Australia's best Top Fuel Dragsters in the fight for the first of 2010 Western Sydney Crown. If all goes to plan, Steve Read will be looking at taking out the Race Meeting like he did last time at Easter Creek. However, when it was time to stage, unfortunately, due to heavy rain the Top Fuel Read Speed Racing Team were unable to contend for the title, as the meeting was cancelled

Procomp Motorsport is pleased to see that Steve "the Pom" Read has come on board after testing the Top Fuel Procomp Motorsport Black Label product range. Our Top Fuel Performance parts have been proven for many years in America, however Steve is the first in Australia to embrace our gear.

Steve Read was pleased to say “we were approached by Procomp Motorsport to try out their cylinder heads. We took the cylinder heads around to our good friend Colin Lloyd of Headsense fame, when the heads were put up against a set of our stage 3 heads they showed improvement in the overall flow so we were very keen to try them out and we are very proud to have Procomp Motorsport on board with Read Speed Racing.” Steve Read's quick facts
