The Annual 23rd Summernats Car Festival 2010 Due to the popular demand of the for the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport Top Doorslammer, the team decided to go ahead and bring the car to the Summernats Car Festival. The team was pleased to see that the fans from the race meeting were in static to see the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport car, and that the team came through with their promise in coming to the show. Below are a few photos of the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport boys before the crowd swarmed in !! Add Comment he Golden States Kwinana Race Meeting at the Perth Motorplex The Procomp Electronics | Motorsport Top Doorslammer Team had entered the Perth Motorplex with positive figures from the Freaky Friday Tuning, but now with an even more aggressive set-up, the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport team where looking at pulling consistent and sharp 6 second passes for the Golden States Official Meeting. However, when it was time to shine the team where disappointed with the figures. It seemed that the information from the telemetry hadn’t alerted the team with an outstanding issue with the car. Then, when the car was stripped down before being sent back to Sydney, the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport team had found the issue. The manly springs seemed to have been soft and not allowing Deno both mid-and-top end speeds needed for the desired runs. The Crew Chief mentioned that he was not happy with the consistency with the springs, but at the same time was pleased that it wasn’t due to the current set-up on the car. Freaky Friday Testing at Easter Creek The freshly painted doorslammer takes to the track for 3 full passes at the quarter mile WSID raceway. The team managed to run: - 7.221 - 6.299 - 6.144 We beleive that such figures where positive for the team as they managed to test a new set up, in which will be further sorted before the Round 3 'Golden States' Race Meeting in Dec 2009. The Fuchs Nationals September 09 This was our first meeting with the new Procomp Electronics | Motorsport Top Doorslammer. With a big effort from everyone on the team and a great effort from Sam Belcastro on the new body we went with the hope taking a big step forward from the old car. Friday night qualify didn't happen, due to whether problems, so we looked forward to Saturday. Saturday qualifying started with everyone getting a feel for the track. After a big burnout Deno faced Ben Bray. Our first shot in anger for the new Camaro was easy 6.19 at 239mph. A nice run down the track and problem free. In session 2 we moved to the right lane after another good burnout. Deno produced a 6.02 at 237mph. That put us at No 7 of 17 cars. We then serviced the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport Top Doorslammer for tomorrows racing. Sunday, and we have Maurice Fabietti first round. He took the left lane. After good burnouts, together, Deno & Maurice lit the stage lights and were away. Deno was out first and Maurice shook bad and Deno was on a great pass until a fuel nozzle came loose and we hurt a piston, but still won. No problem for the team, however, after a mad rush to replace a piston and rod we were ready to go up against Zap. This time we were in the left lane. Lights on and Deno's away. He put a great light on Zap and 1.00 60ft time, but at the top of 2nd gear he got out of the groove and had to back off. Shame really, but all in all, for a first race meeting the Procomp Electronics | Motorsport Team were all very happy. Stay in tune...... We would like to introduce a new partnership with Denos Racing, this is what they said. "Procomp Electronics | Motorsport owners had a taste of Top Doorslammer at this year's Fuchs Nationals, September, 2009. They decided to partner with Deno's Racing Team for the weekend and were so blown away they signed up as major team partner." "We are excited about Procomp Electronics | Motorsport coming on board. They are focused and competitive and want to see the team do well", said Crew Chief Noel Parker.
